Upgrade my PC to a Think Pad for work today. Deric insisted on giving me the TP for shipment tracking. Hai, you think it's good? No way! There are of cos' pros and cons for this notebook.1stly, my PC is a pentium 4 and this "seems-good-tp" is only pentium 3. Slow poke... How can a fast learner use a slow com? Haha...
2ndly, it's not wireless, need a telephone wire to get access into internet. Deric initiated to change with me but forget it, how would he bear to leave his tp just like this. Haha.
3rdly, got to re-update programs into the new tp, many superseded files. Sucks, my printer connection, scanner, lotus note... F***ing troublesome.
4thly, if there is a need, may even need to bring the tp home. (however, don think I am so lucky)
5th, 3kg heavy tp and the bag looks damn bulky and ugly.
Though there are pros...
1stly, feel damn song when typing.
2ndly, portable, can bring anywhere around the office, to meetings etc... But don think I'm at that level to do that either.
Basically, that's it for pros. Haha, pathetically lesser than cons. However hope I get use to it as soon as possible. And I know I will. *wink* ;)

Wanted to learn how to play a guitar, but suay suay the 1st string of the guitar snapped, secondly I can't seems to get the right tuning for the guitar. Seems easy but in fact you really dunno de. Haha... Got the chords for "Zombie", and if I got to play like a pro next time (wait long long), will try something from Guns N Roses, the best is "Stairway to heaven" by Led Zeppelin. Haha... Got inspired by their great music. Think that you all should listen to some of their songs such as Stairway to heaven (Led Zeppelin), Sweet child o' mine, Don't Cry and November rain (GNR). Worth to listen...

Wednesday, July 26, 2006 Warm Sake and Macha Soba One word: Fantastic The ramen taste ok, the soup base was a little bland, think will be trying the pork ramen, might be better. Oiishi-desu Yakitori Tasty bites of big chunks of chicken. ;) It's like hotplate. Taste western, the buttery taste with a tinge of lemon but taste as good for most people I believe. Hehe.. Giraffe Restaurant and Bar on 1st July
Our dining area 3. Large serving portion When it comes to good food, aha, I don't care how much calories I'll be consuming. Hehe.. Our fun-filled afternoon was accompanied by large serving food... (no wonder we spent 3 hours there) haha.. Other than the food, the serving dish was extremely huge, just look at the pictures and you'll know. However, when there's pros, there's cons. The food menu shows limited variety. They are categorizes by the kind of food, e.g. Breakfast and Brunch, starters, Main Dish (seafood, poultry, meat, vegetarian), dessert, drinks and side dish. The sub categories of the main dish only comprises 4 to 5 dishes. The restaurant serves a fusion of Asian, European and African kind of cuisine. We ordered the following dishes (according to the sequence) :- Dilmah's Earl Grey SGD 5.90 per pot/person Nachos SGD 10.90 Alrite, though everything looks nice, but this is one dish that I discourage all to try. The cheese got hardened when cold and they will stick the nachos together and make them sloggy. How could nachos be not crispy? Yucks... Had a hard time pulling and eating... Rib eye (nice beef! thick and juicy) SGD 28.90 Seville chicken with paella and chorizo SGD 19.90 Rather wet, but the chicken is tender, the chorizo taste like chinese sausage. There is a buttery taste, believe they placed lot of butter on the pan to prevent burnt and rice sticking to it. But the taste turned out good. There is some char around the pan side, reminds me of claypot. Brownies SGD 6.90 Warm brownie, with cookie and cream ice cream, crispy sesame thins and chocolate sauce. :) Malva pudding SGD 6.90 Traditional South Africa dessert with chocolate ice cream and splash of Jack Daniels. Nice, warm pudding, chewy, not fuffy. Mascarpone and chocolate sauce. Crispy caramised sesame candy. ;) Hence I shall give it 4.5 stars!!!! Mab

Again I started another day of work. Work wasn't boring but perhaps the OTs have been making me tired despite sleeping earlier than before. No choice, who says I wanted to reduce the amount of stuff pending. Haha...
Anyway, I got excited on thurs when Patrick announced that they will be organising fieldtrips to the forwarders' facilities and ports to observe their operations. Only certain people will be chosen. Ho ho ho... My eyes got widen after stoning thorough the meeting. Hehe.. Might got to see how they collect the goods from the FTZ and declare permit at the custom. I believe it will be a good experience. I wanna go...
During lunch, Monica and me agreed to chiong all the way till 630pm and knock off. Both of us thought that with the stuff on hand, we could leave early that day. Who knows, things are otherwise, Monica was caught up with few sudden shipments and I got delayed by my damn month-end report and some emails to sent. hai... at least i got to leave at 710pm, earlier than usual.
Who knows when I left, met Bernard, the dept's former manager, not much of liasing with him now but he would approach the imports for DD shipment. Enquire from me 3, 4 times on shipments, and found out he was damn lazy to search the answer for himself. Hai...
Funny thing is that I believe he treats me like a "god", could memorise the status of hundreds of orders. In fact, it was just a coincident that I happened to remember that shipment. Haha... Monica and me were laughing on this incident. haha...
When I was waiting for the lift, he caught up with me. Hai, thought I could be alone after work yesterday. We chatted all the way home, from personal to industry level topics.
Funny thing is when I asked him where he alight from the MRT station, he said he will stop at Tampines and then head to Kembangan. Think he all the while mistaken Tanah Merah as Tampines. Haha... I got to know that he knew Willy Wong. He also went to SP for some talks by Menlo and happened to see one of the supply chain lecturers. Bernard can't remember his name but he described him as one who looks like a boy. Haha.. wonder who is he referring to. haha.. Eddie or Tang?
Went Meidi-ya later, finally could release my urge on these Japanese products. It was like sweeping the whole snacks section, also I bought Miso, noodles and curry. Hehe... So guo ying... Wah.... Will start my new season of food reviews as soon as I tried the snacks. hehe....
Hai, ok, fine... However, my mum just feel that it shouldn't be in that way. Hai, Relationship.. Relationship and still Relationship issue...
Mum thinks I'm still young (not even 21), in fact, it applies the same to my elder sis. However, yesterday's focus was on me. Wo sian yi ban( sian halfway...). She doesn't want me to have a boyfriend. Alright, she win this time, could understand what she thinks, no choice, parents seems to know what is bad and good for you, at least most of them are.
Hmmm, perhaps, true enough I'm not going to have a boyfriend, I'm going to have 2,3,4 boyfriends at a go, so that she wouldn't worry about my future. Hahaha...
I love Captain Jack Sparrow, his marvellous acting, that seduction scene made me grinned from ear to ear, (cos' I dare not laugh out in front of some people). Haha... and the kissing part completed eveything until Elizabeth cuffed him... Ohhh... ;<
But overall, I could consider the movie to be great, though it's a bit open-ended for the ending... becos' this will then link it to the 3rd part of the movie. Hooray!
Things have been rather unpredictable, there is rumours that the local knight is leaving, though his departure does not directly affect us, his and our country are affiliated. haha...
But as for now, our import side is still like a fortress. haha...
However, when even our knight is also leaving, we princesses will entitle the power to fight the battle until the new person joins ( and he gonna be good). Haha... =)
Documentation wise is passed on to Serene. It is the vital part for all logistics job, however I wondered if I was too dumb to give her this part? A bit dilemma as for now. See how ba, may discuss with her again, probably share some stuff from her portion. It seems like I do not want to share any piece of the cake with everyone. So selfish rite? Wanna do all by myself, but if I really do, I will kay tio (choke). Haha.
Serene just officially became a part of import team and I heard that a new person will be coming in. Wonder if it's a guy or girl? But it seems there is a high possibility of getting a girl, what's more a degree holder to hold this beng kia position. I'm not bias against this person, however, if I'm that girl, I would think my qualification could worth a more challenging job.
Worst thing is that Deric claimed this girl is pretty with a nice figure too, Patrick seems to like her. Haha...
What Deric said just saddened me a bit. Me and Serene also belong to his team man, got a beautiful candidate on hold, then wanna push us aside. WTF, but forget it, I'm not there to entertain them anyway.
Recently after PeiXi's departure, been very very busy, everyday's been doing OT, dunno even know what the fucking day today is. I was asking myself if I'm slow, bad time management or really lots of stuff to complete. Haha...
Told my sis the whole story. Haha... Really long man.
Anyway, I have faith in what is planned for me. No worries, and just live life to my fullest. Lalala.

Anyway, back to graduation ceremony... Spotted Joe with his new hairstyle. So glay!!! Hmm, probably more gackt ba. Haha but anyway, just love it. Much better than before, and now got this manly look. I'm melting... Haha... However, recently, I noticed a guy with a similar hairstyle and looked more glayish than Joe. Saw him today on the bus again. Kept looking at him... Cos' long time didn't see good looking guys liao. Haha... WTF, I'm such a pitiful gal in a dept where there's no handsome guys to look at. Hai, lol!
And he caught me with this expression. Haha...
Anyway, what I would like to say is that chocs is sweet, so is the pic I took with my sweet dad. Haha.... So bo link rite? FYI, he said to me, " you looked very different today." Wahaha... Getting sweeter and sweeter uh...

1. Great Ambience
It was surrounded by nature, trees, trees and trees... If you are to dine al fresco (like us), beware of a fly. Haha. We spotted that, however I treated it like we're in South Africa. Haha... The indoor was great too, cool but you may not be able to enjoy the breeze (a bit hot in the afternoon) and the nature scenery as much. There is dining tables and sofas. So nice!!! A must go place. The afternoon was not crowded, in fact there was only an ang moh couple when we reached there. Haha... The whole place became ours!!! Yuhooo...
2. Reasonable Price
The Giraffe Restaurant and Bar is a place great for chilling, especially with a group of friends. The place is spacious and somehow could bring you away from the bustling city into a place of serenity. :) I recommend this place to ya all, worth to dine in.
It was the 1st time I heard a company supports such thing. I thought this category of people will be outcasted by the others, however it was otherwise in IBM. Felt happy for the GLBT group in IBM.
Interesting thing is that they sent eveyone on this event and we could even subcribe to be their EAGLES member. I signed up unintentionally, thought that the button would link us to another site. In the end, it got triggered and viola, now I'm part of the eagle's team. Haha... Was informed that there will be a gathering in August. Hehe.. Can't wait to see what's there for them... If possible, I would like to attend this interesting gathering. Haha..
